Before deciding to pursue his creative passions full time, Ellis Michaels worked in the mental-health field for 15 years. A graduate of Bridgewater State University, those years were spent working as a counselor and case manager for young adults with a variety of special needs. While going to college, he worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

Fitness is a big part of Ellis’ life. He got his first gym membership around the time his son was born and has been going ever since. Between lifting weights, doing cardio, and maintaining proper nutrition, Ellis used fitness to transform his body and his life. “The gym has given me everything: confidence, strength, and so much more. I’ll never stop going as long as I’m physically able to.”

When Ellis isn’t writing or recording, he enjoys reading, traveling, the beach, spending time with his son, listening to music, hanging out with friends, hiking, and going on random adventures. A lifelong Red Sox fan, Ellis still lives just south of Boston not far from where he grew up.
